I have a friend who works on bats and she has lot of dead ones preserved in alcohol (I don’t think she killed them, just found them dead), so it wouldn’t be that hard except that I want to be able to look at some details of their cells that don’t preserve well in that way.

So I want to find a frozen one, which is difficult because scientists who work on bats are usually out in the field, not in the lab with a freezer nearby. There are only a few animals that scientists use in labs and they’re the conveniently small, short-lived, easy to feed ones like mice and rats. Bats aren’t convenient!
