I dont think its wise to judge. Is it worse to have bad knees through being fat or from sliding down mountains on skis?

I think everyone should get NHS treatment if they are in Britain and ill, because I feel that leaving sick people untreated is inhumane as well as causing public health problems.

I think people who attack NHS staff, without underlying mental health issues shouldn’t be supported by the NHS. And they aren’t.

I think everyone else should be.

If by this you mean the NHS shouldn’t treat groups of people like smokers or the obese, then I think the NHS should treat everyone. It’s true you might think these people could have avoided developing diseases, ie that they were preventable, but not everyone gets as much information about these things as others, so that would be unfair. Most importantly, they are still people and have a right to life, regardless of decisions that some might consider were poorly considered. BUT the NHS could probably spend a bit more convincing people not to smoke or educate about what to eat and excercise, etc.

its so hard to judge when its people’s lives at stake. I do think that its unfair that people who know that they aren’t looking after their bodies and still carry on what they are doing can use a lot of NHS funds, but its still not right to just let them die. I also think that people do need to be more practical as to when they seek treatment – ie if they know that its just a cold that is going to go away they should just stay at home and get over it.
