      a BSc degree and a PhD (which is more like an apprenticeship than an exam)

      Well I got some OK Highers at secondary school, to meet the criteria to do a bachelor of science degree in genetics at the uni of sheffield, and then I successfully got on to a PhD from my degree… and here I am today!

      I went through the Scottish system so I did Standard Grades and Highers (three sciences, english and maths), and then went to Edinburgh uni where I did a BSc in Genetics. Then I went to Imperial College for my PhD, which is based on a research project rather than on exams.

      Recently I’ve done a PGCAP which is a sort of teaching qualification for university lecturers.

      GCSEs, A-levels (maths,physics,further maths,psychology), Maths BSc (uni degree) and Systems Biology MSc, i am taking a Phd at the moment

      O’levels, A’levels (Maths, Biology, physical science and english literature), BSc in Ecology (university degree) and a PhD (doctorate, which is 3 years of research).
