Question: what made you so interested on animal digestion?

I think that we need to make agriculture more efficient to improve our lives (and the environment). One way is to utilize waste parts of plants – instead of using more land to grow crops just for animals to eat.

I’m also interested in the project that I’m working on at the moment because I’m finding out more about how plants genes work, and the scientific methodology that you use to research plant genetics (as I’m a relatively inexperienced scientist:-) )
