Science… I guess I’ve always asked questions and random documentaries I caught on TV growing up probably helped, until of course I was given the comic book guide to genetics, and it was decided: I am going to be a scientist!

I guess i liked the explosions and stuff to begin with, but later i realised how important it is and satisfying it is to solve a problem no one else has

I’ve always wanted to know how animals and plants function and I’ve been fascinated by the diversity of life. I also enjoyed all science at school. I think it came together for me when I did a field trip to help some scientist at the Natural History museum collect samples for research on what species are distributed where in Zimbabwe. I was amazed by the questions they were trying to anwer in their research and wanted to do similar work.
