Question: i want to study biology at sheffield uni next year. is sheffield a good place to study science and do you have any advice about studying there?

It’s a very good place to do biology. In the 2008 research assessment exercise (RAE) we were ranked 3rd nationally for Biology research, and we get excellent student satisfaction ratings. There’s also a good night-life in the city, so there’s room for a good work/life balance. I liked it enough to do a PhD here straight after my undergraduate degree!
