      Usually three or four, but it can take longer depending on where you do it and what you’re doing. In America five years is more normal, and if you’re doing field work you often find you need to do a whole extra year to get more data.

      3-4 years in the UK. But it can take longer in other countries. In the USA for example it can be up to 6 years.
