      About 117 by now?
      *checks wikipedia*
No, it’s 118, they found another one in April, ununseptium!
94 elements exist naturally on earth and the others have been synthesised in labs – there have only ever been 6 atoms of ununseptium and they decayed after a few milliseconds.

All the elements that exist, the most basic chemicals, are listed in the periodic table – there are 118, but some of those are synthetic, only the first 92 are naturally occurring though. The others are made in a lab, and some only exist for a split second!

118 chemical elements have been observed according to wikipedia, but not all of them are stable.

so far there are 118 elements, but some are unstable in their pure form and therefore very rare and difficult to find.
