      If you look at the sequence of all sorts of animals you can see striking similarities and you can follow those DNA changes and link them to the animals having different characteristics.

      It might sound surprising but if you look at the collection of genes in an animals, called it’s ‘genome’, you can see how whole bits of them are shared between animals! So the obvious conclusion is that they evolved from a common ancestor and over time slight changes have happened. The most striking one is that something like 96% of chimps’ DNA is the same as ours! Obviously though the remaining 4% makes a huge difference in what makes Humans so different!
