Not all day! I teach quite a bit and of course staring at a screen all day is bad for you – so I HAVE to drink lots of coffee breaks for my HEALTH 😉
Besides, science itself is pretty varied. “Doing science” could mean writing a paper, programming, making a mathematical model, or reading up on other people’s research, as well as doing lab work.

Outside work, I try to fit in as much non-science-related fun as I can – I sing in a choir when I’ve got time, and I like running and baking (figuring that they cancel each other out) and just chilling out with friends.
